JOB DESCRIPTION
Mann Energy Services is currently looking for Diesel Mechanics to be based in Watford City, North Dakota. The mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the continual readiness of the Mann Energy fleet for oilfield operations (i.e. engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generations, electrical codes, etc.). In addition, this position is also responsible for maintaining records for parts used. This person must be able to work independently and will also assist in maintaining a high standard of excellence in the shop to include personal and facility appearance. A mechanic must be able to safely work in a potentially hazardous environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must comply with all company policies and procedures
Must be proficient with computer skills for servicing our fleet
Be friendly, professional, and efficient when working with everyone both on the phone and in person
Assist service technicians and drivers in selecting parts needed for repairs in process
Perform quality maintenance, diagnosis, disassemble, inspect, perform rebuilds and reassemble all components or equipment
Complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, such as, work orders, delivery/return, damage tickets, etc.
Display the ability to learn and apply new knowledge through the attendance of training programs that are made available
Communicate effectively with other employees and supervisor
Comply with policies of safe driving and vehicle use. Ensure company vehicle is properly serviced and kept in a safe operating condition
Keep yard clean and the equipment well organized
Maintain and utilize work areas, tools and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment
Support, move and unload equipment and vehicle safety
Work varying shifts and overtime as business needs arise
Assist other team members as needed
Use all safety equipment as necessary
Report any unsafe acts or conditions
Other tasks or duties and projects are assigned
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent
Ability to read and understand materials commonly used in the product, service, and maintenance function
Strong verbal and written communication skills
TECHNICAL TRAINING:
Certificate of technical training in job specific functions
Trained and certified to operate equipment
Must have a CDL with Tanker
EXPERIENCE:
One to Three years of experience
Knowledge of hydraulic and other systems
Knowledge of CAT & Cummins Certified
Own your own tools
Dependable and responsible
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Shop and outside environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, dirt and noise.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ABILITIES:
Professional attitude and appearance
Self-motivated and detail oriented, work with minimum supervision
Stand/walk up to 12 hours a day, and or/sit 1-2 hours a day
Occasionally/frequently lift 50 – 100 lbs.
Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
Must be able to occasionally bend, squat, and climb, including the ability to ascend and descend ladders
Must use feet for repetitive movement when operating equipment controls
Must have agility and balance to safely climb on all machines
